We at the Globe Theatre are pleased to welcome you to our website. We are very excited about this year's season and hope that we’ll meet you all in person at several of our plays, special events and Brand New Oprees.

Executive Director

All of us on the Globe Theatre staff are very pleased with our 2011 season. We have several exciting milestones happening this year in our 53rd year of incorporation and our 43rd season.  This year marks the ninth year of our Romeo & Juliet student performances, enhancing the experiences of first time readers of Shakespeare in the classroom.  This year is also the 4th year of our New Plays/New Players series and the 8th year of the Globe's original production of Happy Birthday USA!  But the event that we are most excited about is the 10th anniversary of the Southwest Shakespeare Festival.  We hope to have some major events occurring around Festival time to celebrate where we have been and how far that we have come during the last decade. With that in mind we are kicking off "The Campaign to Sustain" for 2011 to raise money to keep this wonderful and cherished local treasure around for many decades to come.  We hope you will join us this year for these exciting plays and events and contribute to the campaign.
